I have had many upgrades on my car system in the past ten years, and still more to come. I just replaced Audiobahn AW12001P 1200 watts monoblock with this Boss Phantom 5000 and boy what a difference. I really wanted to keep my system pounding hard and since I have 2 12's Audiobahn 1000 watts RMS each I wanted to keep everything the same brand but it was time for change, I've had Boss amplifiers before so I decide to give this new model a try and it's worth every single penny. Audiobahn was really expensive when they came out about a dollar a watt for their competition equipment in general, a lot of companies have step up to the plate on quality on their equipment and made tremendous improvements competing against the top dogs(Hifonics, Rockford Fosgate, Crunch, Boston Acoustik) you get the picture also prices for competition equipment has come down and now is easier to the average customer to obtain loud music without hurting your pocket.

I do recommend this amplifier you won't be disappointed. I also recommend if you are thinking about buying this amplifier to upgrade your electrical system although this is a monoblock and is able to work @ 1 OHM you need to have the right amount of consistent amps charging your system along with keeping a consistent voltage. I recommend you upgrade you alternator to a high output the highest you can find for your car, also optima battery yellow top designed for loud music and extra accessories on your vehicle and use 0 gauge wire for positives and grounds as it can allow up to 350 amp of current flow.
